Established in 1976 by Harvey D. Attra, PE, in Fort Worth, Texas, Kevcor began its operations with minority investments in marginal oil and gas and related oil field construction services. The company grew through two major recessions in the patch, successfully acquiring and turning around distressed operating units that expanded Kevcor capabilities. After completing his military obligation, B. Cory Attra, PE joined Kevcor as a Project Manager responsible for site civil operations and professional engineering in west Texas, where the company had expanded to environmental remediation, design / build and early involvement in evolving public-private-partnerships. Later Maria Attra joined the company as its Treasurer and where the company continued to grow by bringing specialized business, management, engineering and construction services to strategic teaming arrangements with general contractors, construction managers, developers and professional engineering firms.

Cory was promoted to President in 1998 following years of sustained growth in design / build of buildings, airports, bridges, and emerging opportunities in public-private-partnerships.

Kevcor sold its core business to a major contractor in 2005, assigning the remainder of its operating agreements to a significant client and commercial real estate developer. The company has since transitioned majority ownership to Maria who is now President and CEO. Cory took a hiatus in 2007 where he was engaged in development and workouts, returning to Kevcor in 2011 as a Principal and manager of our professional services and controls.

Effective 2011 Kevcor returns to its core business, positioned in the market as a woman-owned business enterprise that specializes in project management and controls for developers, design / build, engineer-procure-construct, and public-private-partnership sectors.
