About Us

Kevcor, Inc. was founded in 1978 by Harvey D. Attra, PE, in Fort Worth, Texas, and began its operation with minority investments in energy markets. The company grew through two major recessions while successfully acquiring and turning around distressed operating units that expanded Kevcor capabilities into civil and environmental markets. After completing his military obligation, B. Cory Attra, PE, joined Kevcor as a project manager responsible for design engineering and operations of construction activities in west Texas. 


Principals

B. Cory Attra, PE — Structural
Cory is a native of Houston, Texas. He has 37 years growth experience in engineering, design, construction, real estate development, financing of real estate developments, project finance, construction, design/build, and public private partnerships (P3). Cory's positions range from Engineer in Responsible Charge to executive officer roles in both private and publicly traded companies. His design engineering, construction and design / build experience includes coastal facilities, ports, shore front and land stabilization, custom luxury and track homes, bridges, dams, industrial, commercial, defense, and security. His real estate development and project finance experience includes mixed-use, residential, commercial, and industrial. Cory completed is military service agreement as a Lieutenant, CEC/USN. He holds a BSCE from VMI and MBA (finance) from Columbia University.

Frederick J. Streb, PE — Civil
Fred is a native of Rochester, New York, with more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry. He is licensed in the states of Florida and Virginia as a registered professional engineer and is also a licensed general contractor in both States. He is responsible for design engineering, cost estimating, and value engineering. A retired Lt. Colonel, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, his experience includes dams, levies, bulkheads, wharves, rivers, airports, roads, and other infrastructure facilities. Fred holds a BSCE from the University of Oklahoma and an MSCE from Florida State University.

Michael D. Moore, PE — Facilities
Mike is a native of Nitro, West Virginia, and graduate of The Citadel (BSCE) and the University of Florida (MSCE). Mike is a Professional Engineer with over 35 years of experience in facilities engineering, including extensive hands-on working experience with utilities and life-cycle costing. He successfully held the positions of facilities director, operations director, and deputy director of facilities at major navy shore installations. He received the Moreell Medal from the Society of American Military Engineers in recognition of his efforts that resulted in reestablishing all manufacturing processes to full operations within seven days after Hurricane Hugo passed directly over the Charleston Naval Shipyard physical plant.

Mike has significant experience in all aspects of facilities, utilities, and energy management. In his secondary school position as facilities director at the Bensalem Township School District in Pennsylvania, Mike managed all non-educational functions of the school district, including food preparation, fleet operations, maintenance, and logistics. Mike served 8-years as principal of Unity Consultants before coming  to Kevcor. Unity Consultants was a small consulting firm that provided asset management improvement services, primarily to federal sector real property portfolio holders. Mike is a retired commander in the CEC/USN and graduate of The Citadel.

David Vayda, RA — Architect & Owners Representative
Dave has over 30-years of extensive design and owner representation experience in high-end, luxury commercial and residential projects. He has had senior design and project management roles on a diverse group of projects, including new and renovated custom luxury homes, small to large scale additions including whole home renovations, historic preservation & reconstruction, interior design, existing conditions evaluations & documentation and commercial renovations in Connecticut and the NYC metropolitan area. Dave performed his military service as a "hard hat" diver, U.S. Navy and graduated with a BA in Architecture from CalPoly, California.

Richard Morse, RA — Architect & Owners Representative
Rick has 20-years experience in the design and construction administration of custom residential, government, defense, commercial and retail projects throughout New England and the Mid Atlantic.  Rick has hands-on experience with Architectural CAD, coordinating technology development  and product distribution facilities. Rick earned a BA of Architecture from Roger Williams University and completed projects in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.  Rick began his career in architecture as an apprentice to Taliesin Fellow architect Wm. J. McHugh, and over the years has worked on projects of diverse scale and type, earning a reputation for progressive use of CAD technology and inventive design.

Aaron Gladlieux — Special Inspections & Quality Control
Aaron is a native of Richmond, Missouri, with over 20 years of hands-on working experience in masonry. He is a key member of our design and facade restoration teams, responsible for material take-offs, definition of scope, specifications, value engineering, cost engineering, and constructability. Aaron brings strong technical insight to developers facing complex restoration and maintenance programs. He is a master mechanic mason and certified AWS welder. He holds a number of professional qualifications, including OSHA 30-hour, NYC-DOB 32-hour, and QCX. He is also certified in various key trades, including rigging, shoring, and bracing. Aaron served in the US Army and was a member of its power lifting team.
